The apprenticeship trained applicant will have experience in being able to undertake the following:-

  • Schedule and undertake periodic maintenance on all electrical equipment, components, and installations.
  • Provide prompt response to a breakdown, and resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
  • Ensure that the equipment is in good working order so as to prevent disruption of activities.
  • Installation of new electrical components and fittings.
  • Recommend replacement for old or faulty electrical components or fittings.
  • Working in collaboration with other departments.
  • Troubleshoot machine breakdowns and provide preventive maintenance services.
  • Learn new skills and attend training programs in order to increase knowledge of trends and best practices in the industry.
  • Provide safe working environment for everyone on site.
  • Supervise electrical works when new projects are undertaken.
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders.

Desirable skills, although not essential as training will be provided:-

  • Fork Lift Truck Licence
  • Gas Training
  • C&G 2391 (Inspect & Test)
  • IPAF Certificate
  • 17th Edition

We are seeking a flexible self-motivated person with an ability to problem solve whilst approaching health and safety in a consistent manner. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, be PC Literate and able to work on their own initiative.

  • Hours of Work : 39 per week, 7.00 am – 4.00 pm Monday to Thursday, 7.00 am – 12.00pm (shift work when required – 12 hour shifts).
  • Salary is £31,594.88
  • Guaranteed annual service bonus of 2% of annual base salary
  • Annual Incentive Programme : target 5% of annual base salary
  • Contributory Pension Scheme, Company matches employee contributions to maximum of 6%
