What is Personal Data?

According to the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation):

Personal Data is defined as “any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (‘Data Subject’); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person”.

What Data do we collect?

Logan Lewis complies with its obligations under the “GDPR” by keeping personal data up to date; by storing and destroying it securely; by not collecting or retaining excessive amounts of data; by protecting personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access and disclosure and by ensuring that appropriate technical measures are in place to protect personal data.

We collect the following personal data when you submit the forms on our website:

  • Your name, email, phone number and CV when you submit our ‘Apply Now’ form.
  • Your name and email when you submit our ‘Contact’ form.
  • Your name, email, company, nature of business and phone number when you submit our ‘Employers’ form.
  • Your name, email, phone number and CV when you submit our ‘Upload CV’ form.

When working on a temporary or contract basis via Logan Lewis Recruitment, we must also keep: payroll records, holiday pay, sick pay and pensions auto-enrolment records for as long as is legally required by HMRC and associated national minimum wage, social security and tax legislation.

Why do we need to collect this data?

We need to collect this information so that we can respond to any enquiries you send to us through our website. We use your CV to send to potential employers after we have engaged with you and agreed to find work for you. Storing your contact information makes it easy for us to find your contact information efficiently.

Where will we store your Data?

All information you submit through the website is emailed directly to us and is held on an encrypted and secure server in house at Logan Lewis Recruitment here in the North East of England.
No third party providers have access to your data, unless specifically required by law.

Our aim is not to be intrusive, and we undertake not to ask irrelevant or unnecessary questions. Moreover, the information you provide will be subject to rigorous measures and procedures to minimise the risk of unauthorised access or disclosure.

How long will we keep your data?

We will keep your personal data for as long as we need to contact you. When we no longer need your data it will be deleted form our system. If you would like us to delete your data contact us at info@loganlewis.co.uk and we will delete your data as soon as possible.

What are your rights?

If at any point you believe the information we process on you is incorrect you can request to see this information and even have it corrected or deleted. If you wish to raise a complaint on how we have handled your data, please contact us by email on info@loganlewis.co.uk

If you are not satisfied with our response or believe we are processing your personal data not in accordance with the law you can escalate to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Your have the right to:

  • Object to processing that is likely to cause or is causing damage or distress;
  • To prevent processing for direct marketing;
  • To object to decisions being taken by automated means;
  • In certain circumstances to have inaccurate personal data rectified, blocked, erased or destroyed; and
  • To claim compensation for damages caused by a breach of the Act.
