The Role

Reporting to the Operations Director, the Quality Manager is the site lead for all Quality related matters and will manage the growing quality department in a fast growing automotive business.
The role will involve taking a forward thinking approach in preparing the companies future growth by embedding processes, establishing routines and driving the culture.

Responsibilities

Overall responsibility for maintaining and continually improving the effectiveness of the Integrated Management System (IMS) in accordance with multiple ISO’s.
Ensuring the preparation and completion of Internal and External Quality Audits, inclusive of Third-Party registration and surveillance audits, in accordance to standards.
Utilisation of automotive tools such as Advanced Part Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) as required to achieve Company and Customer Requirements.
Facilitate use of appropriate problem solving techniques for root cause analysis and successful corrective preventative action.
Participate and lead supplier quality assessment and improvement activities.
Lead customer facing meetings and resolution of quality issues.
Participate in Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) reviews.
Conduct Measurement Systems Analysis, Gage R&R and Process Capability Studies are required.
Management of all aspects of Quality across the business from goods inwards through to product delivery.
Support the identification of key improvement initiatives relating to Internal and External Audits.
Manage Quality KPI metrics and present findings and recommendations to the Management Team.
Drive key improvement projects relating to analysis of Quality KPI measures.

Competencies

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management role, preferably in the Automotive industry.
IATF16949:2016 / ISO9001:2015 Lead Auditor, VDA6.3 Process Auditor are desirable.
IATF16949:2016 / ISO9001:2015 Internal Auditor.
Experience of the use of Automotive Tools such as APQP and PPAP.
Relevant Technical Degree preferred but not essential.
