Electrical Technician

To assemble, commission and test electrical/control equipment for specific projects as identified by Construction Supervisor. Offshore project involvement as requested by Construction Manager. 

Responsibilities: 

Carry out the build and wiring of control panels, JB’s, Pods etc on a day to day basis liaising with the Electrical Supervisor and relevant project contacts as necessary. 

Inspect and test control panels, JB’s etc as defined in specific FAT procedures and record results. 

Be responsible for specific build and test documentation (for project) and hand over to Electrical Supervisor. 

Work with Electrical Supervisor or Electrical Design Engineer to fault find/troubleshoot problems with assembled equipment (control panels,JB’s etc). 

Review progress for assembly work scopes on a weekly basis with the Electrical Supervisor, highlighting areas of concern. 

Identify and inform Electrical Supervisor, workshop hazards and precautions on specific project activities. 

Review specific electrical/assembly drawings with Electrical Supervisor, discuss and agree any changes required. 

To carry out duties in a safe and professional manner. 

Job scope will include but not be limited to the above. A certain times the work may vary dependant on the specific project requirements as advised by the Project Manager.
