Job Objectives
To provide support to the Lead Electrical Commissioning Engineer to ensure the effective delivery of all company products. Undertake physical commissioning activities as well as producing relevant reports and documentation.
Commissioning engineers will be engaged in the testing of bespoke equipment to make sure they function correctly and produce the expected results. In doing so they will bring the product or system to a point at which it can be used most effectively.
Commissioning engineers therefore need to possess an basic understanding of the construction and product use, as well as customer expectations. They will be embedded into the Commissioning Team and will work closely with the Construction Department from beginning of the commissioning stage until the completion of sea trials.
Commissioning engineering embraces the installation and commissioning of all types of engineering projects, from subsea equipment to deck equipment.
Job Details
To assist the Lead Electrical Commissioning Engineer with all Electrical aspects of commissioning.
To assist with the implementation of the commissioning plan.
To assist with the resolution of Electrical issues that may arise during the commissioning of equipment.
To follow the Electrical aspect LOTO procedures.
To record customer feedback on equipment performance and use this information to improve company performance going forward.
Ensure all tasks are completed to company, client and site safety management systems standards.
Develop and maintain good working relationships between company and client/site/supplier representatives.
Participate in knowledge sharing activities, to ensure the progression and development of all team members.
Participate in training and development programs as required.
Ensuring the safe testing and commissioning of completed installations to achieve the necessary equipment performance in accordance with project schedule requirements.
Any other duties as assigned by the Lead Electrical Commissioning Engineer.
Note: This role may require both national and international travel and will involve periods of working away from home. You will be required to work in all weathers and seasons and appropriate PPE will be provided.
