To provide support to the Lead Commissioning Engineer to ensure the effective delivery of all company products. Undertake physical commissioning activities as well as producing relevant reports and documentation. Engage in the testing of bespoke equipment to make sure they function correctly and produce the expected results. In doing so you will bring the product or system to a point at which it can be used most effectively. You will therefore need to possess a basic understanding of the construction and product use, as well as customer expectations. You will be embedded into the Commissioning Team and will work closely with the Construction Department from beginning of the commissioning stage until the completion of sea trials. Embracing the installation and commissioning of all types of engineering projects, from subsea equipment to deck equipment and offshore lay towers.

Essential Skills

  • Time served engineering background.
  • Skilled in Basic Hydraulic /Mechanical knowledge.
  • Be able to read and understand, Hydraulic schematics / Mechanical drawings to a basic standard.
  • Be competent in the use of all Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • To be able to work away from home for extended periods of time (in general no more than 8 weeks unless mutually agreed).
  • Be able to fault find and suggest temporary/permanent solutions on site.
  • Understand the risks when working with high pressure, complex hydraulic machines.
  • Be able to read and understand hydraulic schematics in terms of the operation of a machine.
  • Have an understanding how the hydraulics integrate with the mechanical, electrical and software.
  • Understanding of Permit to work Procedures.
  • Ability to work safely at heights.
  • Powered access licenses preferable.
