Provide tooling and manufacturing solutions for the latest CNC machines.
Duties and Responsibilities
Review planning prior to issuing to shop floor – checking for tooling requirements, previous tooling sheets etc.
Compile tooling sheets – complete or draft as required.
Raise PO’s to order tooling.
Cad modelling for tooling, fixtures etc.
Liaise with suppliers on design and delivery of special tooling.
Contract review – complete engineering input forms. (Highlight if sub con operations are reqd. Special tooling reqd).
Monitor jobs in the shop (daily patrol) – report issues raised by the operators and action accordingly.
Continuous improvements – Keep abreast of developments in the tooling marketplace – evaluate and conduct trials as necessary.
Some Offline programming (Using Mazacam and Delcam Powermill cad/cam software to build programs).
Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with employees at different levels of the organisation with effective leadership.
High level of communication skills.
Interpersonal, team-working and organisational skills.
Engineering Degree or equivalent.
Proven and demonstrable experience of manufacturing methods and procedures, manufacturing quality, product development and presenting technical information.
Relevant experience in an engineer role working within an extremely fast paced manufacturing environment.
